An Australian influencer has been criticized on European TV for being ’embarrassing’, ‘narcissistic’ and ‘giving all Aussies a bad name’.
Jacquie Alexanderfrom Melbourne, is on holiday in London and shared a video of her flipping her hair around and lip-syncing to the viral song ‘Prada’ by CASSO, D-Block Europe and Ray.
The short clip showed Jacquie dancing around a busy subway train, drawing annoyed looks from fellow passengers.
“I’m in my ‘I don’t care’ era,” she captioned the video, not caring about how her activities were bothering other people. ‘The confidence this gives me is unparalleled.’
Jacquie quickly admitted that she was ‘shaking’ with fear immediately after she stopped filming – but that didn’t stop the thousands of people who criticized her for the rude behaviour.
Other Aussies have also recently come under fire for their poor travel etiquette, such as complaining about Italy’s Amalfi Coast and whining about a ‘traumatising’ hostel stay in Europe.

Many called her self-centered and asked her never to do anything similar again.
‘The narcissism of this generation is out of this world. Stop,” one woman wrote.
“This is so embarrassing and narcissistic,” echoed another.
“Stop trying to be the main character,” said a third. “This is so cringe.”
While many claimed that it was disrespectful to Jacquie to take up so much space on a crowded train during rush hour.
‘I like to take photographs in public, but I don’t mind a whole train with people on it. This whole ‘all that matters is me’ thing is not cute,” wrote one professional model.
“I’m a girly girl until a girl is obnoxious and won’t chill on the subway when there are a lot of people on it,” one woman said. “Do this when you have an empty carriage.”
‘It’s very rude for you to be in those people’s personal space. I’m all for being confident, but this is downright disrespectful and you filmed them without permission which is even worse. I don’t know what you wanted to achieve with this,” one person said.
Another added: ‘Lack of self-awareness is crazy, your hair is literally hitting the people behind you when they’re just trying to commute to and from work.’

But not everyone was angry – with some congratulating Jacquie on her confidence.
“Social anxiety scares her,” one woman commented.
“This is the best thing I’ve ever seen,” another added.
“You probably entertained the whole train on their boring journey – you’re not a nuisance,” a third wrote.
“Sometimes I think about whether I got up too early at my subway stop, but I won’t think about that anymore, so thank you,” one man said.
