When Agapov discovered that her close friend and roommate had stolen her personal belongings and sold them online, he told the New York Post, “My heart dropped.”

‘We talked almost every day. I would say we haven’t really had an argument or anything,” she said.

“If anything, our relationship got better by the second semester.”

According to Agapov, the items have sentimental value and were gifted to her by her mother.

“My mother gave me those things. They mean a lot to me.’

Agapov realized the extent of the theft in May when she described her shock at finding a receipt from The Real Real showing her missing items in Fung’s possession, the complaint said.

She claims Fung sold these items online through consignment store The Real Real, significantly undervaluing them.

Other valuables, including an 18K ruby ring and several designer handbags, were put up for sale but remained unsold when the theft was discovered.
