NYT Strands Today (Game #304) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #304, are…

- BURPEE
- SPANGRAM: EXERCISE
- My rating: Simple
- My score: Perfect
It is around this time of year that the message “pets aren’t just for Christmas” becomes commonplace, reminding people of the commitment and responsibility of keeping animals. But there’s another phrase that’s just as appropriate: a gym isn’t just for January.
January is the favorite time of year for gym owners. The month where everyone’s New Year’s resolutions force them to head to their local branch, like lemmings to a cliff as they finally commit to getting fit. But then, after a few visits in the first weeks of the year, the visits and enthusiasm disappear and people forget that they have a payment obligation for the rest of the year. It’s a magic formula that means gyms can have thousands more members than they could ever accommodate.
Not that you need a gym to do the EXERCISES outlined in today’s puzzle – all of which can be completed in a living room – although I would recommend avoiding the BURPEE as it will put you off the exercise for life and up to a tragedy could result if you have a ceiling fan. On second thought, join that gym.
