The answers to today’s Strands, game #293, are…

  • ABBEY
  • TABERNACLE
  • MOSQUE
  • TEMPLE
  • MONASTERY
  • SPANGRAM: SACRED SPACES

  • My rating: Simple
  • My score: Perfect

Today’s theme was obvious, but for a moment I thought Strands might be a tribute to the Northern Soul music movement of the 1970s, with the slogan Keeping The Faith.

The scene is something of an anomaly in the history of British music, centered around a handful of SACRED SPACES (nightclubs) in northern English towns, with people playing rare soul records all night long – and the rarer the better. Despite having a relatively short lifespan, it had a huge legacy, thanks to its music and the passion and passion of its followers.

Okay, Strands ready, I’m going to listen to it Depraved love.

How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
