NYT Strands Today (Game #275) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #275, are…
- CANDLE
- LANTERN
- TORCH
- HEADLIGHT
- FLASHLIGHT
- SPANGRAM: LIGHTING
- My rating: Simple
- My score: Perfect
This was a remarkably simple Strands puzzle after a few more complicated entries. The theme is simply LIGHTING, and the answers cover all types of lighting: HEADLIGHT, TORCH, LANTERN, CANDLE, etc. I found CANDLE first, and linked to the theme clue ‘lead the way’ which (for some reason) reason) conjured up images of Ebenezer Scrooge sneaking through the Victorian night, which led me to LANTERN and TORCH. The last two required some more modern thinking, but overall this was an easy one.
