NYT Strands Today (Game #60) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #60, are…
- CLOWN FISH
- SKUNK
- OWNER
- TIGER
- BUMBLEBEE
- ZEBRA
- SPANGRAM: STRIPED
- My score: Moderate
- My score: Perfect
I blame myself (a little) for my difficulties solving today’s Strands puzzle. The clue – What is my sentence? – is kind of stupid, admittedly, but when I discovered CLOWNFISH early on, I should have put two and two together. Instead – and please take it easy, I was feeling a little tired playing – I stuck around because I thought it was a reference to Finding Nemo. I know, I know…but at the time it seemed to fit.
My task wasn’t helped by finding SKUNK and then CHIPMUNK, as I wouldn’t associate either with being striped. In fact, they further convinced me that this was something about animated animals. What a fool.
It wasn’t until I discovered TIGER and BUMBLEBEE – purely by chance at this stage – that things became clearer. By now I had revealed so much of the board that I could hardly miss STRIPED, and the other answers followed shortly after.
