NYT Strands Today (Game #56) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #56, are…
- RAZOR
- WASH CLOTH
- SOAP
- SPONGE
- SHAMPOO
- CONDITIONER
- SPANGRAM: SHOWER
- My score: Moderate
- My score: Perfect
This probably qualifies as a medium difficulty Strands puzzle, as a few of the words are quite long and therefore harder to find, and a few of the shorter words have unusual spelling letters. That can sometimes help, but not in this case – at least for me.
I started off easy enough, discovered SHAMPOO and realized that the theme prompt – Getting Clean – would involve finding personal cleaning supplies. I didn’t quite get the shower element though, especially when I found RAZOR; I’m sure a lot of people shave in the shower, but I’m not one of them, so I haven’t made that connection yet. The problem after that was simply that I couldn’t find the words anymore. I saw WASH, but it didn’t turn blue, and it took me forever to realize it continued in WASHCLOTH. SOAP was backwards, so to speak, so that took me a while too. And CONDITIONER kept an eye on me until I figured out everything else. Maybe it was just a bad day for me.
