The answers to today’s Strands, game #281, are…

  • WRAP
  • PSALM
  • GNOME
  • HONESTY
  • mnemonic
  • KNUCKLE
  • SPANGRAM: SILENT LETTER

  • My rating: Difficult
  • My score: 2 tips

After seeing the clue and noticing the word Noisey in the grid, it seemed like today’s Strands was about sounds; instead, Noisey and Noise actually helped us get closer to a hint – something that was desperately needed with today’s SILENT LETTER theme.

Even after I worked out the unifying theme after being given the gift of WRAP, I still had trouble finding these dreaded tongues – you could say it gnawed at me and temporarily turned me into a psychopath ready to make big to wreak havoc on the pseudo Strands setters, pterodactyl style – but then I connected the Spangram hose, unscrewed my panties and all was right with the world.

How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
