It took me ages to figure out what the theme of today’s Strands was, to the extent that even after finding every answer and the spangram, I didn’t understand it. Yes, this says more about me than today’s puzzle, because it’s very obvious once you figure it out, and I’m sure most people today understood what was going on much sooner.

Still, it partly depended on which words you found first; If, like me, you identified PEACE, SMOKE, GIVE, and TASTE as the first four, you will have struggled with any connection. Instead, all the words I found were examples of me simply looking at the letters and making words. Sometimes hint words appeared, which I ignored. Finally I found all the answers. It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done.

How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
