NYT Strands Today (Game #61) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #61, are…
- JUNGLE
- PISTACHIO
- FOREST
- OLIVE
- ARTICHOKE
- EMERALD
- SPANGRAM: GREEN
- My score: Simple
- My score: Perfect
This was a fun, simple Strands game to end the work week (for me, at least). The theme clue really gave the game away – the combination of ‘shadow’ and ‘jealous’ immediately suggested ‘green’ to me, so I searched for that and immediately found the spangram. Now that the board is divided in half, the permutations for each letter have been reduced, and it was a simple job to find PISTACHIO and JUNGLE at the bottom, and FOREST and EMERALD at the top.
For some reason it took me a while to use OLIVE, and I don’t know if ARTICHOKE would have even occurred to me if the board hadn’t been so filled out by the time I got there, but overall this was an easy choice.
How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
