The answers to today’s Strands, game #47, are…

  • MUSIC
  • NEWS
  • WEATHER
  • SPORT
  • TRAFFIC
  • COMEDY
  • CONVERSATION
  • SPANGRAM: DRIVING TIME
  • My score: Difficult
  • My score: Perfect

I marked this one as difficult because I really had a hard time finding a few answers, including the spangram. The theme tip – Get to work! – is kind of stupid, and the first few answers I got (MUSIC, NEWS) didn’t get me much further.

I saw that it had something to do with the media, but nothing more. It wasn’t until I discovered WEATHER and SPORT that I had a clearer idea. But that’s where my game stopped.

I returned to it after a break and saw DRIVETIME with fresh eyes, reading ‘backwards’ from bottom to top. Even with that in place, it still took me a while to discover COMEDY, which I would never have considered part of the drivetime menu. Still, I ended up there in the end.

How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
