NYC mom whose daughter was slaughtered by Hamas at Israel music festival says they will ‘come for Americans when they’re finished with Jews’ – as more US victims are named
A New York City mother whose daughter was among the hundreds slaughtered by Hamas at a music festival in Israel at the weekend has warned that the terrorists will ‘come for Americans once they finish with Jews’ – as more American victims of the conflict are called.
Oriya Ricardo (26) was shot dead along with more than 250 others at the Supernova festival on Saturday. Her body was identified yesterday, after a terrifying three-day wait for her family.
Her mother in New York, Hannie, appeared on MSNBC last night to pay tribute to her.
‘It’s quite difficult to talk about her. She was as her name is, light, she brought light wherever she went.
“A very happy girl, loved to party, was always the center of everything. She was the source of strength of my life.

“A very happy girl, loved to party, was always the center of everything. She was the source of strength of my life,” Oriya’s mother said on Tuesday after learning that her body had been identified
‘I have to speak about her and for her and for all those 1,200 young people who were massacred by Hamas. They don’t have a bit of humanity in them. These kids went dancing and these kids, these parties are peace people. They are all fighting for peace.
“Now, they are gone, and among them my youngest daughter,” she said.
The State Department confirmed yesterday that 14 American citizens were among the victims of the conflict so far. Another 20, at least, are unexplained. Some were taken hostage by Hamas and are now feared to be in Gaza.
Many are dual US-Israeli citizens, including young men who died fighting in the IDF.
They include Itay Glisko (20) of Paramus, New Jersey and 21-year-old Roey Weiser. Lotan Abir (24) from Utah was also killed while attending the music festival.
Her mother, Hannie Ricardo, appeared on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show Tuesday night to share her horror with Hamas
Omer Neutra is also missing in Israel. The teenager is from Long Island
Laor Abramov (20) is missing as well as 19-year-old Edan Alexander. Both are US-Israeli citizens serving in the IDF
Twenty-year-old Laor Abramov from New Jersey is also missing. His family has not heard from him since he called them from a bomb shelter on Saturday.
Edan Alexander (19) is also missing. The teenager is serving in the IDF.
Their names join a growing list of Americans who remain unknown. Yesterday, the families of others held a press conference in Tel Aviv, begging the Biden administration and the Israeli government for help.
In her interview on MSNBC, Hannie said the US – and the world – must present a united front against Hamas.
“Every dollar you give to Hamas, every dollar you put there, goes to terror. It does not go to the poor Arab people living in Gaza. They could have turned this place into a paradise if they had invested the billions they got from the EU and other organizations.
“If they had invested it in the people of Gaza instead of bombs and focused on how to get rid of as many Jews, Israelis as possible, there could have been peace. The only thing I can compare these monsters, these inhuman beings are the Nazis.
‘The same kind of people. The world must know and the world must fight them.
Daniel Ben Senior (34) was working at the Nova festival on Saturday when Hamas militants attacked
Adrienne Neta (66) is also missing. She is a nurse and midwife who moved to Israel in 1981 from California

Hersh Golberg-Polin (23) texted his mother and father ‘I love you’. I’m sorry’ at 8:11 a.m. Saturday – when Palestinian militants declared war on Israel, took dozens hostage and killed hundreds during the Jewish high holiday
‘I know Israel bombed Gaza, but we never start. We always respond. I feel for these Palestinians. I feel for them, but they are hostages in the hands of Hamas and Iran and all these terrorists.
‘They have no other focus in life than to kill as many as possible. When they are done with the Jews they will come for the Americans. They already did it in 9/11.
“This carnage is our 9/11,” she said.
Another mother whose sons were kidnapped fired at MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell for asking her what she thought of Israel’s retaliatory attacks.
‘I can’t be more sympathetic. I can’t be sympathetic to animal people – well, they’re not really people – who came into my house, broke everything, stole everything, took my children out of their bedrooms and took them to the Gaza Strip,’ Renana Gomeh said.
Her two sons, respectively 12 and 16 years old, were kidnapped from their home on Saturday.
The Biden administration has pledged Israel’s unconditional support as it mounts its defenses against Saturday’s attack.
Roey Weiser, 21, an Israeli-American soldier who saved the lives of 12 of his comrades after he was attacked by terrorists at his base on Saturday.
