NY woman calls Rudy Giuliani ‘sexist sexual predator and abuser’ in sexual harasment lawsuit

A former employee of Rudy Giuliani has filed a $3.1 million sexual harassment lawsuit against him alleging that he abused her while enduring toxic work conditions.
Noelle Dunphy, a writer and business consultant who worked for Giuliani beginning in 2019, said the two were romantically involved, but claimed things changed when he began abusing alcohol and demanding sexual favors from her. daily beast reports.
In his lawsuit filed Wednesday in New York Supreme Court, Dunphy wrote: “Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former federal prosecutor, once hailed as ‘America’s Mayor,’ is a sexist sexual predator and abuser.”
She also claimed that he made racist and bigoted comments in her office and threatened to keep quiet about her ties to former President Donald Trump.
Noelle Dunphy (left), a writer and business consultant, accused Rudy Giuliani of sexually harassing her when she worked for him between 2019 and 2021.
Dunphy filed a $3.1 million lawsuit against the former New York City mayor, alleging he also created a toxic work environment and threatened her when she tried to speak.
According to the lawsuit, Dunphy, who represents herself, began working for Giuliani after he hired her for “business development work and other work” in January 2019.
“It started with Rudy as my boss and lawyer and then it turned romantic,” Dunphy told the Daily Beast.
She said that during that time Giuliani offered her legal advice to help her “get justice” for the abuse she suffered earlier in her life.
Instead of legal advice, however, the lawsuit claimed that Giuliani became “frequently drunk while discussing legal matters, and took advantage of her attorney to press her for sexual quid-pro-quos during attorney-client consultations.”
‘As a result of Giuliani’s legal negligence, [Dunphy] she was revictimized, revictimized, retraumatized, without legal redress, and substantially worse off than before Giuliani agreed to represent her in hopes of obtaining justice against an abuse,” the lawsuit states.
“Instead, Giuliani seized on the traumatic details of [Dunphy’s] prior victimization to satisfy their morally bankrupt sexual compulsions and fetishes.’
Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello, said his client denied the allegations and said Dunphy was never an employee of the former New York City mayor.
“These are defamatory accusations drafted by an individual without a lawyer because no lawyer would associate with this nonsense,” the lawyer said in a statement.
Dunphy claimed that she became romantically involved with Giuliani after he hired her in January 2019, and the lawyer allegedly offered her services.
Dunphy said that instead of providing legal information about a case of abuse she had suffered, Giuliani victimized her by demanding sexual favors in exchange for her help.
Along with the sexual harassment allegations, Dunphy alleged that Giuliani created a toxic work environment fueled by excessive alcohol consumption.
“Despite attempting to cultivate a public image of himself as ‘America’s Mayor,’ Giuliani frequently made racist, bigoted, anti-Semitic, anti-LGBTQ and misogynistic comments, often during garbled and hostile rants laced with alcohol, further reinforcing plus the toxicity of the workplace that operates under his direction, adding to chronic and widespread violations of applicable New York State and New York City laws prohibiting workplace discrimination.” , the lawsuit states.
The lawsuit also claimed that Giuliani began drinking alcohol first thing in the morning and continued to drink throughout the day, “affecting his behavior as a [Dunphy’s] boss and lawyer
Then, in 2021, after she was allegedly subjected to further sexual harassment, Dunphy said Giuliani fired her without cause and did not pay her for the work she had done.
Even though she agreed to “be an unofficial secret employee,” she told the Daily Beast that she had hard evidence regarding her allegations of non-pay and a toxic work environment.
When she complained, the lawsuit claims Giuliani threatened her into keeping her quiet.
‘At those times, Giuliani threatened [Dunphy] with further retaliation if she did not remain silent, asserting that her private investigators and political connections to President Trump enabled her to retaliate in other ways, express or implied,” he wrote in the lawsuit.
Dunphy also accused Giuliani of creating a toxic work environment, saying he was often drunk and made racist and bigoted comments in his office.
Giuliani has denied all the allegations and claimed that Dunphy never worked for him.
Dunphy ultimately claims that the alcohol abuse was fueled by Giuliani’s divorce from his third ex-wife Judith and their growing political and legal controversies during the final years of the Trump administration.
According to her website and LinkedIn, Dunphy is a writer and business development consultant who previously worked for an ABC news station in Rhode Island.
She promotes her turn to politics by working at events with Trump, Giuliani, the Clintons, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and a host of other former politicians.
Her blog also includes many photos of her and Giuliani posing at events between 2017 and 2020.
