Nvidia might be losing one of its biggest GPU manufacturers

It looks like Nvidia has hit some big news, which could have a significant impact on future chip sales and promotions.
According to GamersNexusEVGA has terminated its contract with Nvidia and will cease all production of graphics cards, including the RTX series and other cards. The publication states that the reason for the termination is, among other things, due to “disrespectful treatment”.
The report further states that EVGA “will not be exploring any relationship with AMD or Intel at this time” and that it will exit the video card market entirely. Employees have been told they will be taken care of, but details are conflicting as the company has already halted its projects.
One of those projects was about 20 EVT samples of EVGA RTX 4090 FTW3 cards, which will not go into production. The KINGPIN cards have also been canceled.
This news comes just before the upcoming from Team Green Nvidia GTC 2022rumored to feature the upcoming Lovelace 4000 series chips, including the GeForce RTX 4090.
What could this mean for Nvidia?
Losing EVGA is a major blow to Nvidia, as not only is it one of the larger manufacturers of the latter’s graphics cards, but it is also used to produce sample chips promoting these chips.
And the timing couldn’t be worse for Team Green, due to the upcoming GTC 2022 event on Tuesday, September 20. The reason is especially important as it is allegedly due to how badly Nvidia treated EVGA employees.
It remains to be seen how much this will affect the tech giant, but it could cause serious ripples in the industry. And while EVGA doesn’t currently align with AMD or Intel, that could always change in the future.
