It’s also the first time we’ve seen an x90-class GPU in a laptop – last generation it surpassed an RTX 3080 Ti. Could this mean that gaming laptops are worth considering again for PC gamers who want the absolute best gaming performance?

Personally, I think the RTX 4000 series laptop GPUs were the most exciting reveal. If Nvidia can harness the power of Lovelace GPUs in portable gaming laptops, that would be incredibly impressive. For some people, it may even mean they don’t need a desktop PC anymore.

I’m not there yet, but the idea of an RTX 4090-powered laptop that’s a fraction of the size of my gaming PC is definitely cool.

With Nvidia now talking about robots, I’ll end this live blog. There were some good revelations. It’s nice to see an RTX 4000 series GPU under $1,000, and I’m looking forward to seeing how well the RTX 4070 Ti performs.

Nvidia’s claim of outperforming the RTX 3090 Ti is certainly a big one – that was an incredibly expensive GPU launched less than a year ago.

Nvidia is now talking about robots. Don’t make Skynet, don’t make Skynet, don’t make Skynet…

…Nvidia will probably make Skynet.

While I’m not a digital creative, I can definitely see how Ada Lovelace technology can make 3D art look better and less labor intensive.

That’s the game part over. Now we are working on AI, creative tools and THE OMNIVERSE.

Does anyone really care about THE OMNIVERSE? Not me. Stop trying to make THE OMNIVERSE into something, Nvidia.

Don’t think high-end gamers are left out! After all, this is Nvidia!

There will also be RTX 40 series flagship laptops coming, and they will come with RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 mobile GPUs.

These will be powerful laptops for 4K gaming but they will also be expensive starting at $1,999 but I expect most will sell for a lot Lake. Available from February 8.

There will be RTX 4070, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 mobile GPUs, offering up to 80 FPS at 1440p at Ultra.

This is for mid- to high-range laptops starting at $999, and will be available February 22.

Then there’s gaming, with twice the power of PS5, but half the size (and eight times the cost).

14-inch laptops can handle creative projects.

Max-Q gets a shoutout. Gaming laptops in 2023 will ship with Lovelace GPUs, with DLSS 3 added to Max-Q to keep power consumption down, for longer battery life and quieter fans.

Apparently faster than 3090 Ti! That’s pretty crazy and is almost half the power.

Available January 5 for $799.

Oooh 4070 Ti is real!

RTX 3080 membership is now dead – and is now called Ultimate, starts in Q1 2023 and costs $19.99 per month – the same as when it was the RTX 3080 tier. Nice! RTX 3080 members also get an upgrade to Ultimate.

2023-01-03T16:12:59.671Z

Now talking about GeForce Now, the game streaming service. I really love GeForce Now, and the RTX 4080 Superpods will offer five times the power of the Xbox Series X, according to Nvidia! And with Nvidia Reflex, latency should be half what console gamers see.

Throne and Liberty was also shown. And now Atomic Heart. It seems like a very game-heavy showcase so far – something we’d normally see at something like E3 (RIP).

At least Atomic Heart looks cool and offers great graphics. Some of the other games have been quite disappointing in the graphics department, which doesn’t really sell new GPUs.

2023-01-03T16:08:24.549Z

Oh more games. Come on! Show us the hardware!

2023-01-03T16:08:10.784Z

Some more games are shown, including Warhaven, which again isn’t that exciting. Mix of Assassin’s Creed and Elden Ring this time.

I’ve got some exclusive new footage from Witch Fire, an upcoming game that will support DLSS 3. Looks… uh ok. Like a mix of Bloodborne and Doom Eternal.

2023-01-03T16:04:49.852Z

Now talking about DLSS 3. Fair game, I think it’s good technology. 50 DLSS 3 compatible games now released or coming soon.

That’s a lot less than the 250 DLSS games currently available, but Nvidia assures us that DLSS 3 support is growing faster than any other Nvidia technology.

2023-01-03T16:03:19.713Z

He’s now talking about the Ada Lovelace architecture, which emerged last year with the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090. Jeff says each GPU comes with a supercomputer. These are good GPUs, but that could be pushing it a little…

2023-01-03T16:02:06.527Z

Jeff talks about 2022 being a tough year – yes there’s nothing wrong with that. I think he means it was hard for all of us, not just Nvidia.

2023-01-03T16:01:28.193Z

Jeff Fisher is now active and he kicks off with ‘gaming’! So that’s good – bring on the GPUs!
