Shocking footage has been released of a senior NSW police officer kicking an Indigenous boy in the head and then spitting on him.
Senior Constable Christopher Borg, 42, wore plain clothes while supervising western Sydney.
According to police facts, Borg and his undercover colleagues saw three men walking towards an Audi stolen on September 13.
After a brief chase, a 16-year-old native man was arrested, handcuffed and taken back to the stolen car, where he was made to sit on the gutter.
The footage begins with Borg walking towards the teen with his hands in his pockets before kicking him in the face causing the native boy to fall backwards.
Borg then walks off only to return to spit on the boy.

The footage was released Thursday by the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Borg pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault.
At his sentencing, NSW local court magistrate Susan Horan said it was an unprovoked attack on a boy in a position of vulnerability.
“There is a significant and overwhelming public interest in these matters… and in the prevention, deterrence and punishment of police brutality,” she said.
Borg avoided jail time and was sentenced to a 10-month intensive correction order.
He has since appealed against the sentence. The appeal will be heard in Downing Center District Court on July 15.
Borg served as a police officer for 11 years but is no longer employed by NSW Police.
