A desperate search has begun to locate a missing mother and her newborn son who have not been seen or heard from for 16 days.
Huriana Taylor, 33, and her four-month-old son Terrence were last seen on September 13 in the Sydney suburb of Balmain.
The last verbal contact she had with family and friends was three days later, on September 16.
She is known to frequent the Balmain, Guildford and Bankstown areas of Sydney.

New information has led police to suspect she may be in the St Marys area to the west of the city.
Police are deeply concerned for the couple’s well-being and have urged Huriana to come forward so they can ensure she and the baby are safe and sound.
Huriana is described as a Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, thinly built, about 165-170 cm tall, with dark hair and hazel eyes.
Terrence is described as having a Pacific Islander/Maori appearance with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact the police.
