Teenager airlifted to hospital after diving into a shallow pool on popular Terrigal boardwalk

A teenager has been taken to hospital with suspected back injuries after jumping from a boardwalk into a shallow pool.

Paramedics were called to a shallow ocean pool under the Terrigal Boardwalk in NSW’s Central Coast at 3pm on Saturday after reports a boy had jumped from a height of three meters ‘into shallow water off the rocks’.

A CareFlight doctor and ‘several’ NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene.

“He was treated for suspected back injuries and head injuries,” a NSW Ambulance spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

“He was transported to RNS Hospital in serious but stable condition.”

A teenager jumped from the Terrigal Boardwalk on NSW’s Central Coast into a puddle of water they did not know was shallow at 3pm on Saturday. A teenager has been taken to hospital with back injuries.
