State of Origin game three: NSW star Brian To’o stuns a plane full of footy fans with a bizarre fashion choice after huge Origin win

  • Bluesster had an excellent Origin series

New South Wales hero Brian To’o surprised a planeload of football fans after he was photographed returning to Sydney following the Blues’ historic 14-4 win in the State of Origin deciding match wearing his Blues kit.

The 25-year-old Panthers winger had an excellent run and partied into the night with his Blues teammates after the classic match.

To’o was spotted boarding a flight back to Sydney on Thursday morning, still wearing his full playing kit and a NSW cap.

Many football fans on social media loved his fashion choice.

“How can you not like Bizza?” one fan wrote.

“Bizza can do whatever Bizza wants,” replied another.

“Power move,” said a third.

However, not everyone was enthusiastic about this idea.

“Imagine the smell. The whole game plus the whole night. It would suck to be sitting next to him,” one fan posted.

On Thursday morning, To’o was charged with second-degree criminal mischief for his role in the 31st-minute brawl.

He was fined 13 percent of his match fee, but the fine will not affect his club record.

Jeremiah Nanai, Reuben Cotter and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow were also each fined $6,000 for their involvement in the fight.

Blues 18th man Matt Burton and prop Payne Haas, who were both on the NSW bench, were each fined $3000 for running in, as was Maroons sub Felise Kaufusi.

Haumole Olakau’atu and Cameron Murray from New South Wales were charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

The pair could both accept two-match bans after walking off the New South Wales bench to join the row.

If they contest the suspensions and lose, the suspensions will be extended to three games. It’s mixed feelings after the Blues’ 14-4 win.
