NRL star Tom Burgess’ wife Tahlia Giumelli shares smart parenting advice
She is a proud mother of her daughters Sophie, four, and Elodie, two, whom she shares with her husband Tom Burgess.
And on Monday, Tahlia Giumelli shared her clever parenting tips with her Instagram followers.
The 30-year-old model revealed that she doesn’t buy gifts for her two children and instead puts money in a bank account for when they grow up.
‘When the girls were born, I opened bank accounts for them. We put money in them instead of buying lots of birthday/Christmas presents and if family or friends want to give the kids something, we ask them to put money in their account,” Tahlia explained.
‘Our girls are spoiled with toys, so they don’t need more. She decided to invest this instead of sitting on a bank account.

“We won’t touch this until they’re 25. In the hope that it gives them something to put down a deposit on a house, a car, travel or pay for their education.”
She continued: ‘We don’t plan on telling the kids about this. I don’t want them to sit around thinking they’re going to get something at 25, so they continue to work hard, but it might be a bit of a surprise for them.”
Tahlia married her soccer star husband in January 2022.
The social media influencer also announced last year that she had been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
The 30-year-old model revealed that she does not buy gifts for her two children and instead deposits money in a bank account for when they are older.
After her diagnosis, Tahlia began reading two popular books on the condition, Women With Attention Deficit Disorder and The Disorganized Mind.
“These are the two books my psychiatrist recommended to me,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
Tahlia called Women with Attention Deficit Disorder “a revelation,” explaining that it was the first thing she read after being diagnosed.
ADHD is a mental health condition with symptoms including trouble concentrating, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior.
