Paintballing Are Monster hunter now resources that allow you to complete major hunts that you may have missed while walking around, even if they are not nearby.
There are two different types of Paintballs – which become available once you complete “Prologue 3: The Secret of Power” in the main story – and can be obtained in different ways.

Now what are paintballs in Monster Hunter?
As you walk around, you may encounter large monsters that you don’t really want to take down at that moment.
- Of pink normal Paintballingyou can manually mark the big hunts so you can fight them later.
- Your Palico can also hit with it automatically blue Palico Paintballs, mark them so you can fight them on your own time for a few days. (We have tagged samples that last up to 48 hours.) The strength of these tagged samples is random.
This is great if you’re walking around or commuting, as your Felyne buddy will flag big hunts you might otherwise miss, even if your app is closed (although your Adventure Sync must be enabled). While I was out running errands, I received several notifications that my feline friend had marked large hunts for me.
How to get more Paintballs in Monster Hunter now
Every day you get three blue Palico Paintballs for free, maximum three at a time. Based on our gameplay, there is no way to purchase more Palico Paintballs, and unused Paintballs will not carry over to the next day.
You can buy pink regular Paintballs (the manual Paintballs that you mark yourself) from the store for 180 gems for one and 900 gems for five. You can also get pink Paintballs rewards from certain Hunter Ranks.
Those who are familiar with Pokémon Go can equate the earning capacity of these to raid passes: blue Palico Paintballs are like the orange free raid passes, and pink are like the green paid passes.
