Novak Djokovic advances to the fourth round of the French Open, moving one step closer to claiming a record 23rd Grand Slam after beating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 7-6, 7-6, 6-2

Novak Djokovic fought off an amazing challenge from Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to reach the fourth round of the French Open for the 14th consecutive year.

The 7-6, 7-6, 6-2 victory lasted three hours and 36 minutes, with Djokovic getting a break down twice in the first set and forced to save a set point in the second.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion looked unsettled in windy conditions as he called the trainer to have his left thigh massaged before the third set but, as so often, found a way to come out on top .
