Nova star Kate Ritchie makes huge dating announcement: ‘This is exciting’

Kate Ritchie made an exciting announcement on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie breakfast show on Friday.

The radio host, along with her co-stars Ryan Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, revealed they will be hosting a Singles Ball in Sydney.

“It’s official, the singles ball is official,” an excited Kate, 45, told listeners.

“If you are lonely in Sydney and looking for a partner, we have the solution for you,” Wippa added.

The hosts explained that the event will take place on the roof of Gili at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo in the coming weeks.

“How exciting,” said Kate.

Fitzy then joked: “We obviously have to be careful because if someone has had a few too many drinks and wakes up next to a wild animal or something.”

The announcement comes just months after it was reported that Kate had reportedly called time on her relationship with boyfriend Chevy Black.

A radio insider told Ny Breaking Australia in November that the Nova FM radio host had split with Chevy nine months after they went Instagram official.

The pair, who often made public displays of affection while out and about in Coogee, had not been spotted together for months.

An insider also told New Idea magazine at the time that there was a telling hint that their relationship is over.

“It seems he now has no reason to keep his life under wraps,” the source told the magazine.

‘Until recently, Chevy preferred to keep his life hidden, with his social media set to private. He has now changed to a public Instagram profile,” she added.

Kate also fueled breakup rumors by sharing a reflective post on Instagram of herself living her best life with a girlfriend, without mentioning Chevy.

The hosts revealed the event will take place in the coming weeks on the roof of Gili at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo
