A ’90s girl group is reuniting next month for a major music festival, 20 years after its founding on Popstar: The Rival.
The reality show saw the creation of Girls Aloud which went on to huge success, winning numerous awards and selling over 3 million albums in the UK.
However, they weren’t the only girl group to form on the show, with Clea also emerging after being picked to post by Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding.
The group, consisting of Chloe Morgan, Lynsey Brown, Emma Beard and Aimee Kearsley, had moderate success with singles such as Download It, The Lie and Stuck in the Middle.
But things quickly turned sour for the girls when Chloe left the group in 2004 and Lysdney did the same two years later.

The girls will join the event with the likes of Kelly Rowland, Kelis, Natasha Bedingfield and Rachel Stevens.
Clea shared the news on their Instagram account, writing: ‘We can’t wait to reunite at @mightyhoopla on Saturday 3rd June at Brockwell Park London to celebrate our 20th anniversary✨.
“Join @cleagirlband and follow our journey back to the stage.”
And after the girls asked for a setlist request, fans were quick to flood the comments with suggestions, with Ryan Clark leading the way as he wrote, “YESSSSS GIVE ME DOWNLOAD IT [and] DRIP IN BLACK PLEAAAAASE.’
To which the girls then replied: ‘haha! We are looking for a fifth member are you in? …CLEARLY,’
Rylan, whose career also started with a reality singing show, also shared his joy of their reunion on his BBC Radio 2 show where he also performed their song Download It.
He said, “I got the news that this girl band is reforming and they’re going to be performing on Mighty Hoopla, which I’m really excited about, and I just love this song.”

Meanwhile, as Clea celebrates their 20th anniversary, Rylan herself marked 11 years since former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger connected him to the competition’s live shows on Instagram on Friday.
Former aspiring pop star Rylan, 34, was so overcome with emotion when Nicole, 44, told him he had reached the final stages of the competition, he broke into a sobbing, screaming mess and collapsed to the ground with equal measure of relief and joy.
And while Rylan may not have embarked on a career as an international recording artist, he has made a name for himself as a television host and reality star.
Rylan took to social media this week and posted a photo of himself with his arm draped over Nicole’s shoulder while wearing a gold shirt, captioning his message: “11 years,” along with a red heart emoji.
Pussycat Dolls star Nicole looked glamorous in a white jacket and smiled as she stood next to Rylan.

Ecstatic: Former aspiring pop star Rylan was so overcome with emotion when Nicole told him he made it to the final stage of the competition, he broke down in a sobbing, screaming mess (seen on the show in 2012)
Rylan put on a show of epic proportions when he learned he had made it to the live final of The X Factor in 2012.
In what was arguably the most dramatic response of all time, he put on an Oscar-worthy performance as he fell to the floor in a fit of emotion.
The then 23-year-old wannabe was rolling on the floor unable to speak as he dealt with his emotions.
Holding back his tears, Rylan let out a series of heartbreaking sobs as Nicole watched in amusement.
The flamboyant singer was finally able to calm down long enough to give his new mentor a big hug and couldn’t believe he was done with it.
