Morgan Gibbs-White wasted little time on Monday night in responding to sick taunts from Wolves fans about his influencer girlfriend.
The attacking midfielder, 24, returned to Molineux from high-flying Nottingham Forest after moving to the City Ground in August 2022 for £42.5million.
Wolves supporters were not happy with the way Gibbs-White left the club and have routinely booed him every time he returned to his old stomping grounds.
But this time things got annoying as parts of the home crowd could be heard chanting ‘your girlfriend’s ass’ every time Gibbs-White touched the ball in the early stages of the match.
Gibbs-White had the last laugh, though, as just after the taunts began, he put Forest ahead in the seventh minute after a quick counter-attack.
He then ran to the corner flag and celebrated by putting both fingers in his ears to indicate he was blocking out the sound of the Wolves fans.

Gibbs-White is currently dating influencer Britney De Villiers, and the couple enjoyed a New Year’s holiday with Anthony Elanga and his partner China Navana as they all went skiing together.
De Villiers posted about the romantic getaway on her Instagram, where she has 274,00 followers.
Gibbs-White and De Villiers have a son, Graysen, who was born in November 2023.
After further goals from Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi secured a 3-0 win and Forest moved level with Arsenal in second place, Gibbs-White was asked if the taunts from Wolves fans had spurred him on more than usual.
“I think it always has the same meaning,” Gibbs White told Optus Sport as he explained his celebration. “Just block everything they say.
‘But I don’t mind. It kind of gives me an edge and more motivation to do better and succeed. But I love it. I think this is part of football. The fans really enjoy it, give the baton, and then we perform on the field. I’m just more than happy that the boys got the three points tonight.’
Gibbs-White was named player of the match for his performance at Molineux, and his teammate Ola Aina posted a short video on social media of the forward enjoying piling on the misery for Wolves.
Aina shouted into the camera in the locker room, “Hey, y’all! The happiest man in Wolverhampton, Morgan Gibbs-White!’
