Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has been charged with misconduct by the FA after displaying ‘inappropriate’ behavior in the aftermath of his side’s defeat to Fulham.
The club once again raised the quality level of refereeing in the top flight over the weekend, claiming the club were ‘destroying the Premier League’ after their 1-0 defeat to the Cottagers.
Forest were reportedly offended that Fulham were awarded the winning penalty by VAR while they were denied two penalties by reviews at Stockley Park.
It comes after their extraordinary statement in April when they cited ‘three extremely poor decisions’ regarding penalties that went against them in a 2-0 defeat to Everton.
Now Marinakis has until next Monday to respond to the charges relating to his actions around the tunnel at the City Ground over the weekend. BBC reports.

Forest were reportedly offended that Fulham were awarded the winning penalty
According to The TelegraphOwner Evangelos Marinakis was ‘angry’ on Saturday with a senior source saying: ‘The level of refereeing is destroying the status of the Premier League and damaging the clubs.
‘There appears to be no consistency in the VAR’s decision-making.
‘There is still insufficient transparency in the VAR process. It’s the fans who suffer too.
‘VAR was intended to improve the game for both clubs and supporters, but they are currently falling short of that.’
Raul Jimenez converted the second-half penalty to end Forest’s unbeaten start to the season. The controversial penalty was awarded after referee Josh Smith went to his VAR monitor, as advised by VAR official John Brooks.
Forest also had two disappointments with calls not to award them a penalty. In the first half, VAR ruled that Joachim Andersen had not made a mistake on Taiwo Awoniyi. In the second, VAR upheld the decision not to give Anthony Elanga a chance from 12 yards after a challenge from Calvin Bassey.
The club’s latest outburst, although not yet officially released, follows their extraordinary statement following the defeat to Everton in April.
The Midlands club – in the middle of a relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League – claimed they had warned PGMOL about the bias of VAR official Stuart Attwell, a supporter of then relegation rivals Luton Town.

Last week, Nuno Espirito Santo, captain Morgan Gibbs-White and Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler were all charged by the FA following their red cards in a 2-2 draw between the sides last Sunday.
Nuno and Hurzeler were accused of inappropriate conduct, with the Forest boss also accused of using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official. He could still receive a sideline ban.
