Nottingham Forest are interested in Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira as the transfer window enters its final days.

Pereira attracted interest from several clubs last summer, including Marseille, Juventus and Chelsea, who kept a close eye on the Brazilian midfielder’s situation.

And it is understood Forest are the latest team to have emerged as potential suitors for the 28-year-old, ahead of Friday’s deadline.

Pereira has been a key player for Fulham since his arrival from Manchester United in 2022.

The forward has started both of Marco Silva’s Premier League games this season and, having lost Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich earlier this summer, the Craven Cottage club will be desperate to keep Pereira, who has two years left on his current contract with the west London club.

Meanwhile, Forest’s attempt to sign Eddie Nketiah has failed, with sources insisting the deal is unlikely to be revived.

Arsenal striker Nketiah was on the verge of joining the City Ground club last week after passing a medical.

But the transfer failed and there are indications that the deal will not be revised.

Crystal Palace have had an interest in Nketiah for some time and are considering making a formal offer for the attacker.
