Nottingham Forest have inquired about a loan deal for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.

The 26-year-old has also been introduced to Manchester United, City and Fulham, with Juventus ideally looking to recoup the £21million they paid to Aston Villa in the summer.

Luiz, who plays for the same club as his girlfriend Alisha Lehmann, has made just thirteen appearances for Juventus this season and could already leave the club.

He made 204 appearances for Aston Villa and was previously linked with a move to Arsenal while in the Midlands, although nothing materialized and he stayed at the club and helped them qualify for the Champions League.

His departure in the summer was something of a surprise, but Villa was replaced by his Amadou Onana.

Now, however, he could join Forest, who sit third in the Premier League and are making a serious bid for European qualification places – possibly the Champions League.

United, meanwhile, are said to be looking for another midfielder as Casemiro is expected to join Al Nassr and Christian Eriksen could still leave.

United’s priority is to add a striker, with Paris St Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani an option.

Meanwhile, winger Amad Diallo is expected to sign his new contract on Friday.

The attacker was one of the stars during Ruben Amorim’s reign. He secured a place in the first team and scored his sixth goal of the season in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
