Nottingham Forest are working on a deal for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

As reported by The AthleticsForest have rejected an opening bid of £25million including add-ons for the 25-year-old.

Earlier in the transfer window, Nketiah appeared close to a move to Marseille after agreeing personal terms, but the French club were unable to agree a transfer fee with Arsenal.

Nketiah was an unused substitute as Arsenal opened their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Wolves.

With Kai Havertz often deployed as a striker and Gabriel Jesus at the club, Nketiah’s playing time is likely to be limited if he stays at Arsenal.

In 2022, Nketiah signed a new contract with Arsenal and was given the number 14 shirt, previously worn by Thierry Henry.

Last year, Nketiah made his debut for the England national team in a friendly against Australia.

Nketiah joined Arsenal as a youth player after previously playing for Chelsea’s academy, and spent the first half of the 2019-20 season on loan at Leeds.

After making his first-team debut for Arsenal in 2017, Nketiah went on to make 168 appearances for the club, scoring 38 goals.
