She may grace the TV screens every weeknight, but Tracy Grimshaw is very private when it comes to her personal life and social media.
The TV icon, 62, appeared on a rare Instagram photo on Wednesday with ABC News Breakfast’s Lisa Millar, 53, while in London over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
In the photo, shared by Millar, the couple can be seen laughing and laughing together outside Buckingham Palace.

“Finally I can congratulate Tracy Grimshaw on her amazing career,” Millar wrote.
“I just had to go to the other side of the world to catch her!”
Grimshaw, who has her own Instagram account but hasn’t posted anything since April, hasn’t liked or commented on Millar’s post yet.
Earlier this month, Grimshaw announced that she will be leaving A Current Affair after 17 years as an anchor and that her last night on the show will be in November.

She explained that she was “tired” after decades of shift work and insisted that she had not been turned away by a “boys’ club” on Channel Nine.
“I’ve been working shifts for 26 years, driving to work on the Today show nine years before sunrise, and for the past 17 years I’ve been driving home in the dark here on A Current Affair and it’s time for less of that daily obligation.” ,” she said at the end of the show on Monday evening, September 5.
Grimshaw concluded: ‘I’ll be in the area until November when I’m going to take a long holiday but until then it’s business as usual. See you tomorrow night.’
In January 2006, she took over from Ray Martin as host of A Current Affair, her most famous news role.

“She shamed me,” Martin said. ‘She’s so good. I love what she does and I enjoy watching her.’
A young Grimshaw began her career as a reporter on the editorial board of Nine’s Melbourne in 1981.
The beloved television journalist celebrated 40 years with Channel Nine last October.
Deborah Knight, Georgie Gardner, Brooke Boney and Sylvia Jeffreys are among the frontrunners who could replace Grimshaw as presenter of A Current Affair.
Insiders at Nine told the Daily Telegram the network “will not rush to fill the role, as it is “one of the most coveted positions” with the network.
Deborah Knight, 49, currently hosts A Current Affair on Friday and Saturday – and previously hosted Today and Nine News Sydney. She also replaced Steve Price as host on 2GB in January.
Also in the running is Georgie Gardner, 52. The Sydney-born presenter is a weekend host on Nine News Sydney and previously hosted the Today Show.
Entertainment reporter Brooke Boney, 35, and Today Extra co-host Sylvia Jeffreys, 36, are also among the names touted to replace Grimshaw.
Former Sunrise co-host Sam Armytage, 46, who left the show in March to spend more time with her family, has also been named as a possible replacement alongside Karl Stefanovic – although Nine executives are believed to be looking for a female journalist to fill the role.
Earlier this month, Grimshaw announced that she will be leaving A Current Affair after 17 years as an anchor and that her last night on the show will be in November.
Leila McKinnon, 49, who has also hosted ACA, is said to have thrown her hat too in the ring.
Grimshaw’s notable ACA interviews include her sit-downs with former NRL player Matthew Johns and disgraced TV host Don Burke.
Her interviews with former Prime Minister Bob Hawke and One Nation leader Pauline Hanson were also heavily praised.

More recently, Grimshaw had the opportunity to speak with Prime Minister Scott Morrison about the rape allegations by former political staffer Brittany Higgins.
It was the first interview Morrison sat for about the allegations and the effect they had on his government.
In May, she made headlines for a heated interview with Morrison ahead of the federal election.
Although she is known as a terrifying journalist with a no-nonsense attitude, there is also a lighter side to her.
In 2018 Grimshaw entered the Gold Logie for the first time – and although she didn’t win, she was genuinely delighted to be nominated.
“I still can’t quite believe it. I never quite pictured myself in this space,” she told AAP. “It’s a great honor and it’s a thrill, and it’s a pleasure.”
