Northwestern University orders students to ‘run, hide, fight’ after shots fired at Evanston Campus

Northwestern University has told students to “run, hide and fight” due to an active threat on the Evanston Campus following reports of “shots fired.”

The Illinois school’s official X account posted shortly before midnight: “There is an Active Threat event on the Evanston Campus. Run, hide, fight. Provide a good hiding place. Lock and/or barricade doors. Awaiting further information.’

“Northwestern Police are on scene investigating reports of shots fired near 70 Arts Circle Dr on the Evanston campus,” the university wrote.
