One teenager is in critical condition and five others are injured after a car left the road and crashed into a tree.

The horror incident happened shortly after midnight at Bayview on Sydney’s northern beaches Emergency services were called to Cabbage Tree Road after reports of a single-vehicle crash.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated two occupants of the car at the scene for minor injuries.

Three others were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

One man was flown to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
