A man has revealed the terrifying moment he was allegedly stabbed in the back as a party in one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs descended into carnage.
Emergency services were called to a house on Stephanie Place in North Turramurra just before 2am on Sunday after reports that two men had been stabbed.
One of the alleged victims, a 28-year-old tradie from Sydney’s west, has told family members he became involved in a fight with the accused knifeman, 30-year-old Jess William Radcliff, before turning to leave.
It is claimed Radcliff then ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife before stabbing the tradie in the back
The tradie claims he then turned around before being stabbed in the chest and biceps.
Police allege Mr Radcliff then stabbed the party’s host, 31-year-old Matthew Harper, in the leg and himself suffered facial injuries.
Matthew Harper was reportedly stabbed in the leg by 30-year-old party guest Jess William Radcliff at around 2am after a house party at Harper’s parents’ home in North Turramurra turned violent
A tradie, 28, who was also reportedly stabbed, described how he was leaving the party after an argument when the incident occurred
Neighbors said the party at the $3 million home of Mr Harper’s parents raged well into the night before screams were heard about 2am on Sunday.
The tradie was in attendance with his girlfriend after watching the Wests Tigers take on the Sharks in an NRL match at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday afternoon.
He told friends he didn’t drink that night because he was on medication.
When police and paramedics were called to the scene, they found a knife and a large amount of blood on the sandstone landscape outside the Harper family home.
Paramedics treated Mr Harper and the tradie, who was the most seriously injured, at the scene before they were both taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Radcliff was also taken to hospital and treated for facial injuries before being released.
A knife, reportedly taken from the kitchen of the family home, is left covered in blood on the street in the house early Sunday morning after police and paramedics were called
Neighbors said the party at the $3 million home of Mr Harper’s parents (pictured) raged well into the night before shouting rang out around 2am on Sunday.
Police have charged him with reckless wounding, wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.
He faced Hornsby Local Court on Monday before being refused bail.
Detectives continue their investigation into the incident.
