A young boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west.

The child was struck by the vehicle on White Gum Place, in North Kellyville, around 10:35 a.m. Saturday.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene and took the boy to Westmead Children’s Hospital where he is believed to be in a serious but stable condition.

“Officers from Hills Police Area Command attended and found a five-year-old child injured after being struck by a gray Mercedes SUV,” the spokesperson said.

“Police were told the boy ran in front of the SUV driven by a 41-year-old woman, who was moving her car at the time of the incident.”

“The 41-year-old woman underwent a roadside breath test at the scene, which returned a negative result.”
