North Bondi, Hardy St unit: Two men charged with serious offences after tragic discovery of 19-year-old woman’s body in flat
Two men have been charged with serious crimes after the body of a young woman was found in a flat in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to the unit on Hardy Street in North Bondi, where police discovered the body of the 19-year-old woman at around 9.20am on Tuesday.
Despite the work of paramedics, she could not be revived.
NSW Police subsequently arrested a 32-year-old man at the location.
Following inquiries, officers executed a search warrant at an address on nearby Flood Street in Bondi at around 5.10pm on Tuesday.
“During the search, police seized 1 gram of methyllamphetamine and cannabis at the scene,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

‘Police also arrested a 34-year-old man at the address, who was also taken to Waverley Police Station.
The 34-year-old was charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited drug.
‘The 32-year-old man was charged with the outstanding warrant for theft valued at less than or equal to $2,000, three counts of entering a vehicle or boat without the consent of the owner/occupant, destroying or damaging property less than or equivalent to $2000, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty, and property suspected of being stolen from/on premises,” the NSW Police spokesperson added.
He was refused bail to appear at Downing Center Local Court on Wednesday, while the 34-year-old man was given a court summons to appear at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
The woman’s body, wrapped in a weighted red carpet, was wheeled out on a stretcher by a funeral director and wheeled into the back of a forensic van on Tuesday evening.

“A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has begun,” a NSW Police statement said
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine her cause of death.

A neighbor told Daily Mail Australia the unit complex is notorious for loud disturbances.
“It’s a housing committee block, there are always arguments and loud music coming from the units,” she said
