Non-binary activist Deni Todorovic a no-show at court

Nonbinary Activist Deni Todorovic Failed To Show Up To Court After Getting A Restraining Order On behalf Of Ex-Partner

Non-binary activist and stylist Deni Todorovic failed to appear in court on Monday after getting a restraining order on behalf of their former partner.

The queer influencer was listed before the Newtown Local Court under the name Ratko Denis Todorovic, with the AVO taken out by police on behalf of Todorovic’s former partner, Mitchell Peter Latham.

But they were not in court on Monday, without a lawyer to represent the influencer.

A police prosecutor told the court the case would be adjourned until July 3 to be “equal to the charges.”

It is not yet known what charges Todorovic faces and the prosecution declined to comment when NCA NewsWire approached him.

It is understood that the order was withdrawn following an alleged incident on Thursday.

The couple revealed they were in a relationship during an Instagram video during this year’s Mardi Gras celebrations in March.

“We chose to keep things off the program as long/short and as often/rarely as we wanted,” Todorovic wrote on Instagram in April.

You have been some of the best 5 weeks of love I have experienced during my 35 short orbits around the sun.

“To another 5 weeks, months, days, hours, years, decades, lives.”

The filing comes after Todorovic posted a series of disturbing messages on social media throughout the week after traveling to Sydney to attend Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.

Todorovic spent the week in the headlines following a string of posts following broken relationships with brands Bonds and Seafolly.

They first made headlines after a heated argument with Virgin Airlines after they refused to pay a $100 surcharge for excess baggage.

Todorovic said they were victims of “homophobic and racist” behavior and wrote “Jetstar, suck my d**k” on their thighs when they arrived at AAFW.

The next day, Todorovic was sent away from Nadia Bartel’s Henne fashion show.

Friends and family have expressed concern over Todorovic’s mental health in recent weeks.

The family of the 34-year-old posted a message to Todorovic’s Instagram account on Friday assuring followers that they were “safe and in good hands.”
