Mystery surrounding the death of a young father who tragically fell from the balcony of a popular backpacker hostel.
Rashonn Armstrong-Reilly, 20, crashed from the fifth-floor balcony of Brisbane’s Nomads backpackers on Sunday, as investigators suspected he was trying to retrieve his phone.
The talented artist’s latest Facebook entry, nine days earlier, was a photo of him with his 16-month-old son Zarrakai, with the text “My Everything” followed by a heart symbol.

Police and paramedics were called to the Edward Street hostel around 9:20 p.m. Sunday, but Mr Armstrong-Reilly died at the scene.
Like Zarrakai, Shonny, as he was known, is survived by his partner Tiarne.
“You and your son’s memories will never be forgotten,” Tiarne wrote on social media. “I miss you Shonny.”
The doting father, remembered as a big-hearted ‘scene of laughter’, attended Cloncurry State School, before moving to Chinchilla.
A GoFundMe An account was created by his family to help pay for his funeral and by Tuesday evening he had already raised nearly $5,000 of the $10,000 goal.
“His family is completely devastated. The money raised will help cover Rashonn’s funeral expenses,” his aunt Nikita Bunter wrote on the page.
“Any help, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.”
Some of Mr. Armstrong-Reilly’s friends have taken to social media to express their grief over his sudden death.

Friend Jennifer Hetherington posted on Facebook that Mr. Armstrong-Reilly was “the most talented and warm-hearted boy.”
“A few years ago Rashonn painted a memorial painting of our two horses after we had to put them to sleep,” Ms Hetherington wrote.
Sarah Feekings wrote about Mr. Armstrong-Reilly’s big heart and how “high school was a joke with (him).”
Mr. Armstrong-Reilly’s death is being treated as an accident by the police.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
