Is this where Noah’s Ark ended its journey? Boat shaped mound two miles from the Turkey Iran border sparks theories

A boat-shaped mound located three kilometers from the Turkey-Iran border has sparked theories that ‘Noah’s Ark’ may have been discovered.

New research by a team of archaeologists and scientists into the Durupinar Formation has attracted the attention of those who believe the ship is buried beneath the site in eastern Turkey.

Scientists, called the ‘Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark Research Team’, used new technology to analyze whether the soil shows signs of human activity.

The collected samples were dated to between 3,500 and 5,000 years old, which seems to match the Biblical timeline of the Flood.

Scientists have also found marine material in the bottom, suggesting that this may have been the resting place of Noah’s Ark, or at least that it may have been in deep water.

The Bible claims that the Ark settled on the 'Mountains of Ararat' in Turkey after a 150-day flood that drowned the earth and all living things on it that were not housed in the wooden ship.

The geological formation in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı has been a potential site since its discovery in 1956.

The mountain is the highest peak in Turkey, 5,000 meters high and carved like an ark.

The ship was said to measure ‘300 cubits, 50 cubits, by 30 cubits’, which equates to a length of 500 feet, a width of 80 feet, and a height of 50 feet.

A team of experts led by Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Andrew University and Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University (AİÇÜ) worked at the site and collected samples that they believe hold the key to confirming the Biblical story.

Although it is considered a historical event, most scholars and archaeologists do not believe in interpreting the Ark story literally.

In the Bible, God commands Noah to build a huge ship, the ark, capable of saving himself, his family, and a representation of the animals of the world.

Man’s wickedness and wickedness spurred God’s vows to send a great cleansing flood.

God considers Noah the only righteous man worthy of salvation and orders him to build a huge ship.

According to the Bible, the waters of the flood rise until Noah completes his task and God sends “two of every kind” of animals to the Ark, until all the mountains are covered and life (except fish) is destroyed.
