Fans feel Manchester City missed Erling Haaland after the striker was an unused substitute in their 0-0 draw with Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Haaland has scored 20 goals in just 12 games this season since moving from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but he was given a break by Pep Guardiola in Denmark as City were already on the cusp of qualifying from their group.
City saw a goal by Rodri disallowed after a handball from Riyad Mahrez in the run-up, while the Algerian winger missed a penalty later in the first half. Unable to find a breakthrough, a number of fans took to Twitter to point out that City seemed to be struggling without Haaland.

A fan claimed there will be ‘no party’ for Man City if Haaland doesn’t play
Another said the omission of Haaland means there are ‘no goals’ for City
“No Haaland no party,” one fan wrote on social media.
“No Haaland = No goals,” claimed another supporter.
Meanwhile, there was even harsher criticism from a fan who said: ‘Manchester City is useless without HAALAND.’
Heading into their Copenhagen game, City had scored 11 goals in the previous three group matches, but couldn’t find the net this time as they had to settle for a point.
One supporter joked that City looked like the Williams car without Haaland on their team, in a reference to the team currently bottom of the constructors’ standings in Formula 1.
“MAN CITY without HAALAND is like a WILLIAMS F1 car,” they wrote.
City were reduced to 10 men in the first half when Sergio Gomez received his marching orders for committing a foul when he was the last man.
Guardiola then resisted the temptation to bring in Haaland after halftime, despite knowing a win would guarantee his side’s passage to the last 16.

BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves thought City had nothing to worry about after failing to score, and believes the team will be happy to have earned a point after playing with ten men for an hour.
“I think they were playing their normal game. The red card completely changed the game. A goal was disallowed, which should have happened. They had saved a penalty.
‘In the end they could have won’ [by] 2 or 3, but when the red card fell they just kept a clean sheet, silence, no injuries and got ready for the next one. They’re going to finish at the top of the group, there’s no doubt about that,” he said.
Haaland will almost certainly be back in City’s starting lineup when they return to Premier League action against rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
