Nintendo’s new summer sale sits at the intersection of your gaming backlog and tricky grammar questions with deep discounts on some of the biggest franchises from Square Enix, Capcom, and WB Games — including games that ranked high on Polygon’s Best of the Year lists, like Kidney: Automata and the Resident Evil 2 redo.
In addition to these publisher deals, Nintendo is offering 20% off a pair of NES controllers, perfect for playing retro classics on Nintendo Switch Online or the new tribute collection Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition.

Square Enix Summer Sale runs until midnight PT on July 25, offering discounts of up to 60% on modern Final Fantasy titles dating back to the original Final Fantasy VII for $6.39 (was $15.99) until last year Crisis core redo (also related to FFVII) for $24.99 (was $49.99). Other highlights include 2017’s Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition for $23.99 (was $39.99), 2022’s PowerWash Simulator for $17.49 (was $24.99), and last year Octopath Traveler 2 for $35.99 (was $59.99).
In the meantime, Capcom’s Midsummer Sale runs a little longer, through July 29.
