Nintendo fans who like to wake up to the sounds of ink splatter from Splatoon 3 or coins from Super Mario Odyssey can sue with the all-new Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.
The company behind several legendary video game series such as Donkey Kong and Mario Kart announced the clock in a press release today.
It described the new product as an “interactive alarm clock, designed to add some Nintendo charm to your home and your daily routine.”
‘This is pretty cool! When I wake up and start my day, it might as well be for Mario, Zelda and friends,” one X user wrote this morning.
The clock, which has been hailed as the “best thing ever” by some social media fans, will be available at retail next year, but Nintendo Switch Online members in the US and Canada can buy it today.

The Alarm starts at $99 and will be available in various stores in 2025
The $99 Alarmo comes with sounds from five Nintendo games.
In addition to Splatoon 3 and Super Mario Odyssey, sleepers can select one of 35 scenes from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure.
“Experience the sounds of the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario and friends, start your day adventure with Link and Princess Zelda, or start over with the Inklings from Splatoon 3,” the company said.
Alarm owners have the option to choose which mode the alarm is in: steady or soft.
They can also select soothing sounds and music to help them fall asleep during the day or go to bed at night.
Since the announcement, X users have been giddy with excitement about the Alarmo’s features, despite the “annoying noises.”
“Finally an alarm clock that makes me rage in the morning like it’s Mario Kart,” an X user tweeted.
Another Nintendo fan wrote, “I want it even though I know I’m going to do it, despite all the noises it makes in the morning.”

Several X users have already ordered their Alarmos, and have praised Nintendo for their ‘lifestyle products.’
‘I can imagine different models of this in different colours. Or even a Pikachu with ears,” tweeter wrote as for the clock.
Another X user wrote: ‘The price is high, but I’m honestly considering this just so I can wake up to Zelda yelling at me.
‘The Nintendo Alarmo wakes me up and I head straight to the Xbox toaster for breakfast! Thank you so much @NintendoAmerica.”

Otherspecial form of torture.’
‘Every time I hear the sound of my alarm clock, even when I’m awake, I get irritated and get a wave of anxiety. I don’t think I want to associate Nintendo sounds with that,” one X user tweeted.
Some Nintendo fans were particularly angry about the Alarmo’s “laughable” price and insisted they wouldn’t buy the clock because of it.
“Okay, I mean this in the most respectful way. Nobody cares about this thing. $100 for a clock that requires an NSO subscription to even buy is insane,” says an X user wrote.
An angry X user wrote: ‘Y’all really charging $100 plus an online Nintendo subscription for an alarm clock!? Who thought that was a good idea.’
The steep price for the alarm clock that one user thinks will rise to ‘$500 each on eBay‘ isn’t the only thing aggravated Nintendo fans were angry about.
Several X users also expressed frustration with the announcement in general after thinking Nintendo would announce the arrival of Switch 2.
Some Nintendo fans were upset about the price of the clocks, but were also frustrated to see that the company’s announcement wasn’t about Switch 2
“Nintendo revealed an alarm clock before the Switch 2 LMAO,” says an X user wrote.
“The Switch 2 doesn’t look at all like I imagined it would and I thought it was going to be a gaming console,” another X user wrote this morning.
Some gaming enthusiasts wrongly assumed that the Alarmo was some kind of ‘fake April Fools’ product.
“This trailer plays like a Nintendo announcement in April,” says one X user tweeted.
‘I love those interesting little creatures there. This is so random.”
