Nintendo says Pokemon Legends ZA will be set ‘entirely’ in Lumiose City
Nintendo has confirmed that Pokémon Legends SA takes place ‘entirely’ in Lumiose City.
During the Pokémon Day Pokémon Presents livestream on February 27, The Pokémon Company revealed the next big game in the Pokemon series – Pokémon Legends SA.
The announcement was accompanied by a short cinematic trailer teasing the Kalos region’s Paris-inspired Lumiose City, where “an urban redevelopment plan is underway to transform the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.
Other than a title name and a setting, we weren’t given much more information than that; however, in a new one after Shared today (February 28) with X (formerly Twitter), the official Nintendo of America account appears to confirm that the game will be set exclusively in the city we see in the trailer.
According to Nintendo Pokémon Legends SA features a new adventure set entirely in Lumiose City.
This statement suggests that players will not leave Lumiose City at any point in the game, unlike other Pokémon titles – such as Pokémon sword And Shield And Pokémon legends Arceus – where you can explore the wilderness beyond small towns and settlements.
We’ll have to wait a little longer for official in-game footage that will show us what it’s like in this variant of Lumiose City, as Pokémon Legends SA is scheduled for release in 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.
Next Pokémon Legends SA‘s announcement, The Pokémon Company also revealed the successor to Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Pokémon TCG pocket.
The spin-off game is coming to iOS and Android mobile devices in 2024 and will allow players to engage in one-on-one battles online, including ‘Quick Battles’, digitally trade cards with other Trainers and build their collection on build; with the promise of two free Pokémon card packs opened per day.
