Nintendo Indie World: all the news, trailers and announcements
Nintendo’s latest Indie World showcase featured more than a dozen indie games coming to Nintendo Switch in 2024, with several of those titles hitting the eShop today.
Here’s a look at Indie World’s biggest announcements from April.
Little Kitty, big city
The game about being a little cat in a world full of distractions is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 9. Little Kitty, big city lets players take control of a cat as they travel through a bustling city, causing mischief and helping your fellow animals.
Years increase
A very different twist on the Atari classic Yar’s revenge from Shantae developer WayForward is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. Years increase casts players as Emi Kimura, who embarks on a Metroidvania-style platform adventure of corporate espionage as she tries to unravel the hidden secrets of technology company Qotech.
Find Yourself Again: The Personality Test Game
As an Android, players embark on a narrative adventure of self-discovery Find Yourself Again: The Personality Test Game. There are 23 personality types to discover in this summer’s timed Nintendo Switch exclusive.
Sticky stuff
Fun sticker shop management game Sticky stuff makes the jump to the Nintendo Switch today!
Antonblast
As Dynamite Anton, a demolition expert, you blast through levels in a platformer inspired by Wario land, Sonic CDand other classic side scrollers. It will launch on November 12 as a timed console exclusive on Switch. A demo is available today.
Valley peaks
A cute first-person adventure where you climb, slide and hold on to things with your tongue. Valley peaks coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Europe
A soothing watercolor adventure in which players fly and float through a huge fantasy world, that of Helder Pinto Europe reminiscent of Japanese RPG adventures such as Dragon Quest, The Legend of Zelda and Ni no Kuni. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch and a demo is available today.
Lorelei and the laser eyes
Simogo and Annapurna Interactive are bringing Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, a “non-linear mystery with a huge amount of handcrafted puzzles,” to Nintendo Switch on May 16.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shattered Fate
Super Evil Megacorp’s roguelike action game that combines TMNT combat with the run-based format of games like Hades Coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch as a timed console in July. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shattered Fate was previously released on Apple Arcade.
Cat quest 3
Cat quest 3, a journey through the Purribean against the infamous Pi rats, is coming to Nintendo Switch on August 8 (which is International Cat Day, by the way). A demo is available today on the Switch eShop.
Lurch
Fun embroidery game Lurch – also previously released on Apple Arcade – comes to Switch with dozens of playable hoops. It’s available today on Switch.
SteamWorld Heist 2
Thunderful Games announced SteamWorld Heist 2, in which players embark on a journey across the Great Sea with Captain Leeway’s ragtag. “Equip and upgrade your crew for turn-based firefights packed with ricocheting action and engage in real-time naval combat,” the game’s creator said in an announcement. SteamWorld Heist 2 arrives in August.
A handful of other games have a release date for the Nintendo Switch, including:

- Animal welfare – The 9th of May
- Duck Detective: The Secret Salami – May 23
- Shadow – July 18
- Bzzzt – summer 2024
