Nineties dance music icon, 56, looks like she hasn’t aged a day – 27 years after her legendary number one hit climbed the UK chart
Dance superstar Ultra Naté doesn’t seem to have aged a day, 27 years after releasing her number one hit single Free.
The American singer, 56, rose to fame in the late 1980s but her fame peaked a decade later when the banger was released in 1997.
The DJ – whose real name is Ultra Naté Wyche – looked ageless in a selection of photos shared to her Instagram page over the weekend.
She was glamorous in a black outfit covered in sparkling rhinestone embellishments, with a black jacket and black trousers paired with chunky trainers.
Ultra was in Naples and shared photos as she posed with fans, while she was also joined by some of her friends, including DJ Kenny Carpenter.

She wore blonde straight locks and very glamorous full face makeup as she cherished her time in the city in southern Italy.
Previously, the music icon achieved worldwide success with hits such as If You Could Read My Mind and Automatic, and her 1998 album Situation: Critical received critical acclaim.
All of her singles have reached the Top 10 of the US Hot Dance Club Play chart on virtual streaming platforms.
Other of her successful earlier albums include Blue Notes in the Basement (1991) and One Woman’s Insanity (1993).
Meanwhile, the singer has never given up her passion for music, and only in September last year she released ULTRA – which also includes a deluxe version – with 17 songs.
The electronic dance album reached the Top 10 in the US and Australia – with vocals “recorded, edited and mixed” at JJCC Studios in Britain between 2022 and 2023, she said in an Instagram post.
The Maryland-born star has further channeled her veins for electronic beats as she now regularly performs DJ sets around the world, with a rooftop party at the Lord Baltimore Hotel Skybar this Sunday.
Ultra’s career was marked by a feud with her first record label Warner Bros. Records, but just as she was reaching her peak fame in 1997, she decided to go independent and eventually signed with Strictly Rhythm Records.

Last year she sent fans into a frenzy when she appeared on BBC Radio 2 with Rylan Clark.
The This Morning star, 35, shared a clip with the music legend on his Instagram page, writing: ‘KaRYoke – Rylan X Ultra Nate – Free.’
Ultra opted for a typically glamorous ensemble with a red top and wet-look leggings.
After an insightful chat, Rylan said he couldn’t let her leave without doing some ‘kaRYoke’ as the pair performed Free together.
