1990s Boy Band Makes Massive Comeback 26 YEARS After They Split With Another Music Star Who Would Replace The Lead Singer
A 1990s boy band is about to make a huge comeback to the charts, 26 years after their split.
Let Loose have reunited to record a brand new single – a whopping 29 years after their hit Crazy For You rocketed to the top of the charts.
In addition to another chart-topping smash, the group – which first formed in 1993 – also has a London gig scheduled for the end of the year, as well as a tour scheduled for 2024.
However, the trio – originally consisting of founding members Lee Murray, 52, Richie Wermerling, 54, and Rob Jeffrey – will look different as singer Richie will not be returning.
He will instead be replaced by another music star – Bad Boys Inc’s Matthew James Pateman – who will join Lee and Rob as a front singer.

And while Richie has declined to rejoin the band due to other commitments, Lee and Rob have joined forces with Bad Boys Inc’s Matthew in an attempt to take the charts once again.
Speaking of their return to the spotlight, Lee shared Subway: ‘We are so excited to be back with Let Loose. It’s something our fans have been asking us for years, and we’re so happy that everything has fallen into place with Matthew now as our lead singer, because he’s so brilliant.’
While Matthew added: ‘I’ve always had a respect for Let Loose and their music. In the industry they were always ‘dumped’ into the ‘boyband’ category, but they are more than that.
‘They are great musicians and the craftsmanship of the Let Loose songs has stood the test of time. I look forward to working with Lee and Rob on this new venture. We have great new material ready and the new single sounds great.’
