Don’t expect Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic to join NBA coaching if he finally decides to leave the hard court.

The Nuggets put on an impressive performance in Saturday night’s Western Conference Finals Game 3 in Los Angeles, where Jokic and teammate Jamal Murray led the way to a 119-108 victory.

After the game ended, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone provided insight into why the game was like the “Jamal and Nikola Show” at the end.

“He and Jamal were playing [a] two-man game and I must give credit where credit is due, that was Nikola’s decision,” said Malone.

He said on the couch, “Let’s go to this play, let me and Jamal play [the] whole side of the floor and we’ll get the right readings” and we’ve milked that all the way through. So Coach Jokic did a great job tonight.”

After the game, a reporter asked Jokic about the comment and jokingly asked “how is coach Jokic?”

Jokic put his head in his hands and replied, “I don’t know. I don’t want to be a coach… that’s definitely the worst job in the world.’

This win gives the Nuggets a commanding 3-0 series lead, almost certainly advancing to the franchise’s first-ever NBA Finals.

No team in NBA playoff history has ever overcome a 3-0 series deficit – with an overall record of 0-149.

The Nuggets look set to complete the sweep in Los Angeles on Monday night.
