Nikki Haley says Biden should RESIGN for the ‘good of the country’ after release of bombshell special counsel report
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Tuesday she believed President Joe Biden should resign following special counsel Robert Hur’s report that questioned his mental acuity.
Haley was interviewed by conservative radio host Hugh Hewittwho had argued in a Fox News op-ed that Biden should resign, and said on Tuesday’s radio program that he believed the 81-year-old president was “disabled.”
Hewitt then asked Haley, 52, if she agreed that Biden should resign.
“Yes, I do, and I think the Democratic Party knows that. And I think this is not only in the interest of their party, but also in the interest of the country,” the former UN ambassador said.
Haley pointed out that she has said all along that “the party that gets rid of the 80-year-old candidate is the party that will win.”

As of now, she has lost Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada – where she did not compete – to 77-year-old former President Donald Trump, who still appears to have a hold on Republican voters.
“We can’t have a country in disarray in a world on fire and presidential candidates in their 80s,” Haley argued. ‘If we need someone who can last eight years to make sure we are disciplined, focused on getting our economy, the border, preventing war and getting our country back on track.”
Hewitt pointed out that Republicans are “recoiling in horror” at the prospect of Vice President Kamala Harris being elevated to the top job and asked Haley to address those fears.
Haley then repeated a phrase she often uses during her campaign: that the country is destined to have a female president of the United States.
“Either it’s going to be me or it’s going to be Kamala Harris, because if Donald Trump runs, you’ve seen in multiple polls that he can’t win the general election,” Haley said.
Typically, Haley also argues that Biden will not serve a full second term.
In this case, Hewitt asked Haley if she believed Harris could do the job for a year.
“No, I don’t think Kamala Harris can handle it, but I don’t think she’s worse or better than Joe Biden,” Haley responded.
“I mean, if you look at the leadership there now, it’s terrible no matter what you do,” the former South Carolina governor continued. “But the idea that Russia, China and Iran can see that we have a mentally impaired president is a threat to all Americans, because what keeps me up at night right now is what happens between now and Election Day. ‘
Haley also told Hewitt that she did not believe Hur crossed a line by talking about Biden’s memory loss.
White House and Biden allies have characterized the report as a partisan hit since Hur was appointed by Trump.
“I mean, look. I think we should always make sure that none of our agencies are political, and that’s why they all need to be cleaned up,” Haley said.
“But you look at Joe Biden two years ago, and you look at Joe Biden now. He is not wrong,” she said of Hur’s assessment, which included allowing a jury to convict the 81-year-old president ‘a sympathetic, well-meaning, older man with a bad memory.’
The report also noted Biden’s “diminished capabilities.”
“I mean, look at the press conference that Joe Biden gave afterward. He was angry. He was, you know, lashing out. But what has happened is confusing countries. We’ll see it at a press conference. We see it when they have to take his hand and help him off the stage,” Haley said. “It doesn’t look good for America.”
