Nikki Haley issues stern warning to Republicans after Biden’s disastrous debate against Trump
Nikki Haley has issued a stern warning to Republicans following President Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump.
The former Republican Party candidate spoke to X about her thoughts following the confrontation between the two on Thursday night.
“Remember my words, Biden will not be the Democratic nominee,” she wrote.
Republicans, be on guard!
Her comments were echoed by Democratic pundits who suggested he could be replaced after his poor performance.
Nikki Haley has revealed her prediction about Joe Biden’s chances of winning the presidency
The broadcast of the car crash showed Biden struggling to make himself heard with a hoarse voice after taking the stage. His condition continued to deteriorate during the 90-minute primetime confrontation on CNN.
However, he then lost his traint and stumbled over his words several times. His team blamed his weak voice on a cold.
Even Vice President Kamala Harris had to admit that the president had a “slow start.”
Former senior adviser to President Barack Obama David Axelrod admitted Biden’s first performance was damaging from the start of a debate that has sent shock waves through liberals.
“I think there was actually a sense of shock at the way he came out at the beginning of the debate, the way his voice sounded, he seemed a little disoriented,” he said on CNN, noting that there would be “discussions” in the party after the election debate over whether Biden should continue his bid for re-election.
Kate Bedingfeld, former White House communications director under Joe Biden, was also critical of her former boss’s performance.
“It was a very disappointing debate performance by Joe Biden,” she said. “I don’t think there’s any other way to slice it.”
Haley went to X to give her opinion after the confrontation on Thursday night
Biden defended his performance during the debate, saying he had done a “good job” and that he would not drop out of the race.
Biden stopped at a Waffle House in Atlanta with his wife Jill to get some food before the flight to Raleigh, North Carolina, where they have a campaign rally tomorrow.
“I think we did a good job,” Biden told reporters traveling with him.
When asked about the calls to step down and whether he was concerned about his performance, Biden said, “No. It’s hard to debate a liar. The New York Times pointed out that he’s lied 26 times.”
He admitted he was sick and said, “I have a sore throat.”
Haley was in contention for the Republican nomination until March, when she suspended her campaign.
There was some speculation that the former South Carolina governor could be chosen as Trump’s running mate after she withdrew.
However, this was quashed by Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., who said his father had already chosen a candidate, who would be at the debate on Thursday night.
Biden’s team began his appearance by pointing out that he had a cold. The president also defended his performance and insisted that he would continue in the race
Haley has since said she plans to vote for Trump in November, despite presidential hopefuls ridiculing her during the race.
A few days ago, Trump’s potential vice presidential pick was narrowed down to three names from the previous seven.
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) are the three remaining contenders.
