‘Nightmare’ newbuild house with SIX different types of windows on the front and a rusting overgrown car in the garden slammed for looking like ‘something out of a horror film’

Social media users have slammed a bizarre-looking new-build home in London with six different types of ‘pick and mix’ windows at the front.

The woman who came across this strange sight was doing the Green Link Walk – a 15-mile walking and cycling route from Epping Forest to Peckham town center – earlier this week.

She stopped briefly to take a photo of the ‘nightmare’ at home, before sharing it online.

The X user (formerly Twitter), named Dee Dee May (@deedelea), wrote, “I saw this house when I was doing the #GreenLinkWalk,” alongside a shocked emoji.

The house appears to have three floors, but is strangely thin, with six windows across the front, all in different shapes and sizes.

From two very thin and long windows on the right side of the house to a triangular window jutting out on the top floor, right in the middle of the house, the design is absolutely one of a kind.

Adding to the eerie effect is the rusting car that appears to have been taken by the overgrown, out-of-control garden.

There is also a tall black metal gate on the left side of the asymmetrical house, but there appears to be no door at the front of the house.

A second added: “Like something from a movie set,” with Dee Dee May admitting: “I had a nightmare about it last night.”

The photo was quickly shared to the X account, @plannings***, where it has already been viewed by more than 42,000 people.

Users joked: ‘pick and mix windows!’ and ‘Architect: Drugs were once involved’.

Another wrote: ‘With a view like that I’m surprised they even wanted windows!’

Meanwhile, someone else commented: ‘Someone put a lot of effort into the roof projections/overhang – and that top (bay) window – bless’.

Another was unimpressed, joking: ‘There isn’t a single aspect of this house that isn’t an abomination.’

“I need to see the blueprints for this,” and “Think they need doors,” others urged.

Another user reasoned, “Unless it’s a huge prism, I can’t see the tip of the triangular window.”

Others joked: ‘It looks like the Harry Potter bus, right in the middle of the squeeze!’ and “Honey, I shrunk the house.”

However, some people were fans of the unique design, with one user asking: ‘Am I the only one who loves this house?’ and another who insisted: ‘That’s art, that’s it’.

The debate comes just after another new-build home was ridiculed after photos showed it had a very troublesome design flaw.

The six-bed new building, which went up in 2019, was branded ’embarrassing’ and ‘c***’ by critics, who even questioned whether it was designed by AI.

In addition to the architect’s designs, a photo of the detached house was posted on an urban planning site on X, formerly Twitter.

A recent photo shows that there is a three-foot gap between the ground and the front door, meaning residents face an uphill task getting in and out.
