Nigella Lawson was photographed visiting one of Australia’s best seafood restaurants with chef Josh Niland, but one little detail got fans talking.
The celebrity chef dined at the Petermen Two Hats seafood restaurant at St Leonards on Sydney’s North Shore on Thursday, March 28 – and wore the exact same pair of shoes as Josh.
Nigella and Josh posed outside the door of the establishment, each wearing a pair of leather Birkenstock Boston clogs – an ‘industry secret’ loved by chefs for their supportive, lightweight and non-slip design.
The 64-year-old has been traveling around Australia as part of her three-show ‘An Evening with Nigella Lawson’ tour, sampling some of the country’s best culinary hotspots.
When she visited Petermen, she prioritized comfort in the $220 shoes that Josh had also worn during his shift in the kitchen.

‘We were all thrilled to have the one and only Nigella Lawson for dinner at Petermen tonight!!! We hope you enjoy the rest of your visit here in Sydney and can’t wait to see you again soon,” read a post on Petermen’s Instagram.
Nigella replied that she had an ‘amazing’ experience.
